The year 2011 has been chosen by UNESCO as the International Year Chemistry, this date coincides with the centenary of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry awarded to Marie Curie and the creation of the International Association of Chemical Societies .
The motto of the International Year of Chemistry is " our lives, our future ", one of the objectives of this event to promote interest in chemistry among young people and generate excitement for the future Creative Chemistry.
Within this framework and to encourage this spirit informative, we have proposed a series of activities for students to be presented in the following Sentra this new blog space.
This celebration is a unique opportunity for the College that students do see the importance of Sciences have had on the development and welfare of the society we know today.
The objectives of this International Year of Chemistry are:
- Show that chemistry is an experimental science that surrounds us in almost all areas of our lives.
- emphasize that chemistry is a science in progress and evolution in which security is currently one of the backbones of their business.
- Create an atmosphere of general interest in science, to invite students interested in current developments.
- foster in students an objective view on science in general, where the view is based proven facts rather than on prejudices involved.
